Rats are better than Rod

The Chicago Sun Times wrote about someone noticing that the Rat Poison Warning Sign was taken down from they alley where IL Gov. Rod Blagojevich lives. A Sun Times photog shot a great picture the other day... I think the IL Gov gives rats a bad name.

People seemed to enjoy the whole map of Guinea vs Guinea pig thing...so someone saw this and thought it was funny...I never realized that Slovenia totally looks like a running chicken!

Fail blog posts a win

So the failblog had a win today by a penguin. We thought it was great! Enjoy!

Researchers have found that dogs see inequality in certain situations...
This AP article has the poop...
along with amusing undated pictures...here is a blurb from the article.

The dogs sat side-by-side with an experimenter in front of them. In front of the experimenter was a divided food bowl with pieces of sausage on one side and brown bread on the other.
The dogs were asked to shake hands and each could see what reward the other received.
When one dog got a reward and the other didn't, the unrewarded animal stopped playing.
When both got a reward all was well.
One thing that did surprise the researchers was that — unlike primates — the dogs didn't seem to care whether the reward was sausage or bread.

The Today Show on NBC had their own best in show competition...and they ended up naming a three legged labrador...Truman...BEST IN SHOW!

Critter Nation is up for sale...

So the Critter Nation is up for sale on www.allpetfurniture.com and a couple of other sites. Looks like there is a single and double stack model...

Looks similar to the Ferret Nation but the spacing is different on the cage itself, and some of the inside spacing as far as ramps and whatnot have been adjusted. From what I'm told rat lovers from around the country helped Midwest Home For Pets in designing this. I'm intrigued to see the reviews on it.
